Hi everyone, what practical steps or mindsets have you found effective in consistently recognizing your own strengths and maintaining a positive self-view, especially when faced with self-doubt or criticism?
In my own experience, recognizing inner resources often requires stepping away from the compulsion to constantly improve or compare. Mindfully observing one’s thoughts and emotional responses can reveal strengths that might be overlooked during stressful moments. When facing criticism, I try to focus on the opportunity for deeper understanding rather than quick self-defense. Valuing interconnectedness and accepting imperfections fosters a sustainable and more compassionate perspective, making it easier to notice what is working well within oneself, even in challenging times.
Hi everyone, sometimes I think the world would rather have us doubting ourselves than noticing what we do well. To keep perspective, I jot down three small wins a day, especially on rough days. When self-doubt rolls in, I ask, What would I say if a friend were in my shoes? My inner critic tends to be way more dramatic than reality. Also, reliable feedback from one or two trusted people cuts through the noise of random opinions out there.
